August ?? Back River Speckled Trout / Puppy Drum Tournament, two fish slam
Captains meeting at ????am to hand out Identifiers (location, date & time to be announced the week before the tournament)
Catch - Photo - Release, Fisherman must catch both a Speckled trout and a Puppy Drum
Weigh in - turn in score sheets no later than 12:00 noon, stand by with cameras / memory cards
- 1st Lendal Paddle
- 2nd Xtools scale
- 3rd Xtools pliers
Hard Core Anglers Drawing
Anyone participating in at least 3 of the 5 tournaments will be eligible to participate in a drawing after the Messick Point Tournament for a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100
THE FINE PRINT
Fees - desire to have fun and catch some fish!!
Tournaments open to Kayak and Canoe anglers, catch - photo - release format will require a digital camera, cameras may be shared (will discuss if necessary, identifiers will be unique for each person if camera is shared, to be determined by ARC Representative)
Appropriate VA fishing license required
Measuring - Ruler must be LEGIBLE in photo with identifier, if you feel comfortable with a Warden checking your ruler it's probably safe for the tournaments.
Register for any or all of the tournaments by e-mailing Vic at fishing@paddleva.com (for headcount and in case of changes where we need to contact participants, and to anticipate parking logistics)
The goal is to have fun fishing, concerns can be discussed before the tournament or at the captains meeting, all decisions by ARC representitives will be final.
All participants are responsible for their own safety while ready to help others if in distress, be aware of weather, use common sense and be aware of personal limitations.
